A locum tenens staffing platform for healthcare employers.
"Locum tenens" literally means "to hold the place of." This Latin phrase is used today to describe healthcare providers who are hired as independent contractors on a short or long-term basis to fill temporary gaps in coverage that a hospital or medical facility might have when a physician goes on vacation, there’s an increase in patient load, or during an ongoing search for a full-time physician replacement.
Hayes has a nationwide network of healthcare institutions that regularly utilize locums tenens, which means they are able to regularly help physicians:
Hayes partnered with Caxiam to act as their in-house team to build and support their locums platform, allowing physicians to securely submit their education and work experience digitally. Physicians are able to fully disclose any malpractice claims against them, list references, special credentialing, and even military service.
This information is validated to ensure consistency and then packaged to be digitally signed by the physician via Docusign. The information is then encrypted and stored for safekeeping. As time passes, Hayes has the ability to re-credential a physician, requiring only a review and signature by the physician rather than a brand-new application.
Hayes screens each potential candidate and submits only the top few physicians matching the required specifications, so time is not wasted sorting through dozens of CVs. Their dedicated credentialing and licensing team assists the hospital's medical staff through the entire credentialing process to ensure each physician is credentialed on time for the scheduled assignment.
Working as Hayes' in-house team, Caxiam built a job board and an administrative console allowing them to post jobs and then sort through applications.
Using these tools, Hayes is able to help their client base:
Because everything we built is driven by a beautifully designed and well-documented API, the ability to expand these tools is endless. Hayes has a 3-phase plan for expanding their offering and integrating with several third-party services to add even more value to healthcare providers nationwide.
Over the course of 6 months they've maintained 100% uptime for their customers across multiple codebases. We use monitoring tools from providers like AWS, Pingdom, and New Relic to provide round-the-clock redundant monitoring.
We'd love to hear about it.
